HEAD COACH BLAINE POWELL

In 2022, Coach Powell came to Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College as the head sprint football coach and led the Pomeroys to a 6-1 record and the MSFL Championship Title. Powell came from the nearby town of Sullivan, Indiana where he was coach at Sullivan High School for a total of 17 years. He spent his last seven years as head coach of the Arrows compiling a record of 39-16. His team won the school’s only sectional title in 2020 and won the Western Indiana Conference Gold title in 2017 and a share of the title in 2021. Earlier in his career, he coached at Sullivan Middle School and Linton-Stockton High School, his alma mater, where he played football for four years.
