Your AVENUE MOMENT

An Invitation

At Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, you are invited to belong to our community, challenged to grow as a student, and then encouraged to go forward to live a meaningful life. You will be instructed by scholars who love to teach and care about you as an individual. You will become a member of a community grounded in faith and tradition. This place will become “Your Woods.” You will leave The Woods prepared to work, lead and serve. And The Woods will always welcome you home.

The first time you drive through the brick and iron gates, you’ll feel it — a sense of peace, a welcoming, the feeling of belonging. That’s what our students and alumni, and even faculty and staff, often refer to as “The Avenue Moment.” Sure, we’d love to take credit for engineering “The Avenue Moment,” but, honestly, it’s something about this place, these Woods, that has a life of its own. We look forward to you having your own “Avenue Moment” when you visit us in person.
