they will die. They are too noble a people to devour their own family, so they will be forced to suffer until they finally wither away into oblivion. Do you want that? DOG Of course not. CAT Then will you finally just help me stop the rat before he destroys us all? DOG (Exasperated.) Yeah, sure. I… yeah. CAT Yes! Finally. Now follow me. (CAT exits and DOG follows, albeit reluctantly. Once they have left the stage, THE BEAST raises his head and looks around the stage. He rises from his cage again and exits towards the fridge. The fridge creaks open yet again. After a moment CAT enters from the opposite side of the stage with garlic strung around his neck. He wields a bunch of garlic in his arms.) CAT (Sinister.)

Twinkle, twinkle, little rat…

(He tosses some garlic on the ground.)

I can see right where you’re at. (Tosses more garlic.) Oh so sly with your red eyes…

(THE BEAST enters, its mouth dripping red.)

I’m right here with your demise.

(THE BEAST lunges towards CAT, who pelts him with garlic. THE BEAST hisses. The fridge is heard closing. THE BEAST turns and charges towards the noise. DOG enters with garlic around his neck, brandishing a copy of Bram Stoker’s Dracula as if it were a Bible. THE BEAST hisses and turns to escape, CAT cuts him off, he holds garlic in both outstretched hands. THE BEAST screams as he folds down to the ground, pinned by CAT.)
