Aurora 2024
Carmela D’Agostino
Wow
who knew the sun could feel so heavy when the stars shimmer lonely the moon finds it awful when you walk and see your breath look to your left and right just to find that it’s empty no words left to explain the dust my mind sits in aimless wandering lost couldn’t be the word because could that mean i’m failing?
light at the end of the tunnel grows foggy because the astigmatism in my eyes
it’s so weary and days are casinos
gambling the joys of blinking maybe i’ll roll the dice and find a lucky 4 leaf clover though there’s not enough coins in my pocket to even try so i’ll just close my eyes and let the cells of my skin remember you. because your warmth let me see the view.
