Recycled Thoughts Tavia Hedrick

She is the stethoscope against a beating chest, Hearing always but listening none. Her glassy eye rests perfectly in the creases of my head, Yet Beauty is nowhere to be seen; She’s been lost awhile now… Thins lips teeter to one side, Throwing her toothpick legs off balance, Falling deeper and deeper into the lonely pit. She tiptoes on eggshells in the yolk of her thoughts Until she finds comfort in her own flesh again, And stomps proudly away from the glass Only to return with a recycled mind for the 3,478th time.
