beloved Woods!” Vicki Weinert Yunker and Rick are “Back Home Again in (Greenwood) Indiana”! Emily moved from DC, and with Tom, Becca and boys just 20 minutes away, Vicki and Rick’s new home fills with family. Seeing Joey Tomer Weaver is easier too! For Holly Hilton D’Amour , Rich survived COVID 19, with no residual effects. Holly lost two cousins to COVID and another to cancer and Rich’s mother died in February 2020. Our sympathies. But there was good too. Two weddings, Rich retired, a new home in Asheville, NC, where they look forward to the area’s beauty and meeting other “transplants”. And Holly’s dog, Enzo, won his first agility title! Holly and Vicki both quoted Dickens, “2020, ‘It was the best of times, it was the worst of times.’” Donna Witte Murphy says, “We are holding steady at seven grandchildren, all age 7 and under!” Dan retires in 2021. Donna hope he finds a hobby to match her love for adult coloring books! They’re both looking forward to making up for lost 2020 trips. “That’s the full report from Middletown, Ohio.” Mary McAuliffe Barnstead (Indy) and Joe both retired before COVID hit! Their family is safe working from home or teaching. “Grammy” and “Pa’s” two grandsons are local and available for them to perform their most favorite of jobs, upon request! Since retiring, Mary has taken up walking. She’s dropped weight and taken up collecting “virtual medals” by walking “virtual runs” around the world! Suellen King Coleman and her husband both had COVID. His was bad, but Suellen, asymptomatic. They celebrated Feb 2, 2021, going to Dodger Stadium for vaccinations, along with 7,700 others. Suellen retired from UCLA, again. While on recall these last two summers, staff and profs kept asking why she was working when they’d gone to her retirement party. For 2021, they hope to travel as planned!! In 2019, Marian Scully Ezran moved to Brighton, CO! She lives right by her mother and Joan, her sister and her daughter live in Colorado Springs. Marian’s helping with virtual schooling, being grateful for her ED major. And she loves being able to get out of the house and hike during this COVID time! Mary Reagan Bishop and John are still working with retirement on Mary’s mind. The kids and their families have worked through most of COVID. Rob, and wife moved to Boston. A distance, but they are happy. Three of five grandkids are in school in person, one on the hybrid plan and one is only 18 months. Mary says, “John and I just want winter to be over so we can get the RV out again.” Berny Newlin Heitzman has grandbaby #5! Nash Alexander Carpenter was born on October, 5, 2020, to Lauren and Al, in Vail CO. As excited as they are, she wishes the kids weren’t so far away. But they are happy and healthy and working, thankful for all their blessings. Berny is looking forward to seeing everyone as soon as possible!! Lynn Olinski and I (Linda Lundstrom) each started a Facebook page (at different times). Lynn’s is, SMWC class of ‘76 and friends . Mine is, St Mary-of the-Woods College Class of 1976 .

visited their son in Connecticut and Anne Thiemann Baugh in Terre Haute. Thankfully, their daughter and granddaughter live nearby in Kansas City, Missouri. Recent retiree Susan Riedford Hughes (susierhughes@gmail.com) is missing her kids, grands, friends and travel (though she and Peter spent two weeks in the Badlands pre-COVID). Their eight grand girls now range in age from 4 to 17. Both of Anne Thiemann Baugh’s (anne@ thiemannop.com) children were married last year… her daughter in San Diego in December 2019 and — after being rescheduled twice due to COVID-19 — her son in Cincinnati last September. She sends greetings to all and hopes life returns to normal soon. The Knapps are all fine and in or near DC. Tom and I now have four grandsons under four! Hard to believe. We are both still working…at home. Have moved Tom to the basement (hah!). Wishing you all the best during these hard times, and hoping life is MUCH brighter this year than last. Stay safe! Lee Ann

(filldibb@wi.rr.com) time for walks, friends, service projects and more. All children/grandchildren are good, and she and Phil were able to visit their daughter in Wisconsin. Mary Clare wrote that she can still see the smile in people’s eyes despite the masks. Lynn Moore Delehanty (Deledude2@gmail. c0m) and Tim drove from Florida to California last August to help Brian and his wife Nicole with Jack (3) and new baby Luke. During their Phoenix trip, the SMWC ladies visited with Judy Duffy ’66 , and discovered they were her first class of elementary education students. Diana Vasquez Kesheimer (dkesheimer@gmail. com) loved the “SMWC girls” trip and was glad it occurred before COVID-19. She and Peter are fine -— Diana has been doing “pandemic” baking and crocheting. Son Marc is in retail and has worked throughout. She asks everyone to stay safe! In Louisville, nursing supervisor Anne Corcoran Reed (gypsy652@yahoo.com) hopes to transition to part-time work soon. She wants to spend more time with husband Paul, their children, and their eight grandchildren. When Anne wrote, she had fingers- crossed that a spring trip to Jamaica was still going to be possible. Regina McCullough Buckley (buckleyro@ comcast.net) has returned to New England, specifically to New Hampshire. Now she is near her brother, enjoying the cold weather and renovating her house. After working across the U.S. and Ireland, son Nathan (a chef) has moved to New Hampshire. Daughter Danica is a senior at University of Central Florida. Arlene “Zipp” Margevich Hogan (zippsmw@ sbcglobal.net) wants this year over ASAP. She and Mike are fine in Naperville, Illinois, and Zipp still travels downtown to her office twice a week. No one is there, but she is happy for the change of scenery. She has no plans to retire after this pandemic. Debra “Debbie” Furr Plastrik (ptrikthor5752@ gmail.com) and Pete moved across the country to be with their kids and (due to pandemic) did not get their money’s worth on that deal. Pete is working from home and Debbie manages everything else… and is sporting her new SMWC hoodie around Puget Sound. Debra “Debbie” Noe Johanningsmeier (djnoe@mac.com) and Jim are doing well, staying home and healthy, and maintaining social distancing. They have been able to see their local kids and grandchildren but haven’t seen the California kids for more than a year. Debbie asks everyone to be safe and sends best wishes to all. Trudy Ayer Mickey (tmickeyhouse@gmail.com) and Stan had COVID-19 last summer. Scary but mild. She is still working, but only with past clients. Daughter Catherine Mickey Saunders ’98 is SMWC associate vice president for advancement and her daughter Emma is a Woods freshman. All children and grandchildren OK. Trudy sends prayers for all classmates. Mary Jo Thornley Cox (jothornleycox@ hotmail.com) remains busy, working with children and adults in Catechesis of the Good Shepherd. Husband Jody is retired and, pre-pandemic, they

Annie Huggins Grissett-Broome lost her dad in 2020, to Alzheimer’s and her best friend, Marlena Ladd Johnson ‘76 , whom she truly misses. She is blessed to have the ability to care for her mother and love her four grandchildren “to pieces!” She travels the U.S. for work and hopes to travel outside the U.S. upon retirement. Our sympathies for your losses. Jane Stewart Wilcox has met someone at The Villages, FL, that had also lost his spouse and “we have developed a relationship that is solid, fun and filled with laughter.” Jane continues to work part time at a local jewelry store, plays golf and does water aerobics and whatever makes for a fun and active life. Bring it on 2021! Kim Harrison worked from home for the Arkansas Community Foundation, Arkansas’ COVID-19 Relief donation site. Through donations and scheduling, Kim assisted organizations, etc. and schools with grants nearing $3 million. When PPE demand was high and supply short, volunteers made masks for K-12, delivering +1,000, to 3 school districts! On a day off, Kim volunteers at the Humane Society, adopted a dog in need for her German Shepherd after the loss of her older lab. Judy Ryan Tribble says we’ve aged well for 45 years! As class agent, she reminds us to make a pledge to The Woods on “Giving Day”, understanding “the amount given is secondary to the participation percentage.” Grants are awarded more on alumni activity. Judy says, “God bless you all, and thanks for your continued loyalty to our
