The 2021 Athletic Hall of Fame banquet, recognizing the 1992-93 and 1993-94 Board of Trustees as inductees, was held in October. These trustees made the vital decision to create scholarship athletics beginning with the women’s basketball team and the softball team. Their decision allowed SMWC students to play competitive sports and was pivotal in setting in motion the growth of athletics with a total of 16 athletic teams today.
