Elizabeth Markman is the Director of the Master of Arts Art Therapy Program for Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. She earned her PhD in Art Therapy from Adler University in Chicago. In addition to working in higher education, Elizabeth also has a private practice in Chicago providing individual and group art therapy services to communities experiencing marginalization, oppression, and chronic violence.

Elizabeth has created an experience where student travelers will immerse themselves in the culture of Chicago, trying to deeply understand it, with a humble, spontaneous, and receptive approach.

Students will have the opportunity to engage in educational, emotional, social, and participative interactions with Chicago, its living culture, and the people who live there. Cultural attractions include The Field Museum, The Chicago History Museum, Millennium Park, and the surrounding area.
