Meet Onyx

One of the many unique characteristics setting SMWC apart from others in the area is our equine facility, accredited by a certified Horsemanship Association.

We offer hands-on experience with over 40 horses on campus property. To offer the best experience, we have two barns; one for SMWC horses, but a second barn to board horses belonging to the students, or for training and handling classes.

An indoor and outdoor arena provides students the opportunity to ride, all year long, regardless of weather.

The best part about our equine facility is that it is home to Onyx, who first joined the Woods family in the fall of 2021.
