THSO STRATEGY Expanding the Impact Since 2020, THSO has increased the number of children served by 40% in the Adventures Concert program. In Fall 2021, we had 500 students and chaperones register for the 11 a.m. Adventure Concert. In Fall 2022, we had 2700 students and chaperones register from across Western Indiana and Eastern Illinois. In 2023, over 3,500 students registered for the concerts. Our venue only seats 1,450, so that meant adding a third concert. We outgrew our venue! With COVID restrictions finally lifted, THSO visited 8 elementary schools in Vigo County with 6 THSO musicians to share a 20-minute up-close preview with students! Virtual Engagement Sessions take place the following week after the full orchestra concert performance!
