Question 3: How strong is the external validity of the study? (Ibid, p. 54). You want your results to be generalized to other samples, settings, or procedures, but there may be limitations. Expect a deeper discussion on both validities: internal and external in later chapters. ✓ Caution – this study’s participants are in an academic program and the purpose of this study is to help identify relationships between vocational interests and strengths. Need to review direct resources (see the reference section). One of my favorite illustration in Adams & McGuire’s (2022) textbook is the Shape of a Primary Research Article which is a great model as you write your own article.
