International Organizational Behavior & Culture
This course will encourage students to explore the impact that national and regional cultures have on the conduct and leadership of organizations globally. It will emphasize the cross-cultural dimensions of organizational leadership and will employ the case method as a component of the pedagogical approach along with lecture, video, and experiential activities. This course provides best practices as it relates to strategic leadership and management of global change. Leadership and management strategies along with change theory are discussed and applied in the global context. This course will introduce the students to the principles of innovation and change in organizations and the process of implementing those changes as operational realities. This course will use a combination of lecture, videos, case studies, and experiential learning activities as the pedagogical method. This course examines international policy as it relates to diplomacy, cross-cultural behavior, and execution of decisions. Communication practices are learned and applied while a theoretical perspective provides additional insights into international law.
