Dottie L. King, Ph.D., is a distinguished scholar and an influential leader who serves as the 16th president of Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College. With a vision deeply rooted in mission, King leads the institution with a passion for her students and a drive to Aspire Higher. An agent for change, King’s work over the past decade laid a foundation for new pathways at the College, among which are the launch of a nursing program, the building of the Jeanne Knoerle Sports and Recreation Center and new residence and dining hall, a mission shift to become fully coeducational and a vision for the Aspire Higher Strategic Plan. King serves on the executive board of the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). She is the former board chair of the Independent Colleges of Indiana (ICI). King is a member of the Association of Catholic Colleges and Universities (ACCU), Council of Independent Colleges (CIC), Indiana Chamber of Commerce, National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities (NAICU), Wabash Valley Education Alliance, Rural Health Innovation Collaborative (RHIC) and Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce, where she serves as the chair of the 21st Century Talent Region for West Central Indiana.

She holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in mathematics and a Ph.D. in curriculum and instruction/educational leadership from Indiana State University.

She and her husband, Wayne, are the proud parents of six children and several grandchildren. She loves to travel, bake and spend time with her grandchildren and is currently learning to speak French and crochet.

Amber Kuhn is a licensed mental health counselor in Indiana and owns her private practice, Zeteo Therapy and Wellness with offices in Terre Haute and Fishers. She works often with athlete performance difficulties, trauma work, life transitions and general mental health concerns. Amber has a focus of utilizing a mind/body approach to her work with clients on their wellness journeys as she brings experience and knowledge from being a registered yoga teacher, mental health therapist and sport-focused work.
