Employees take a pre-test before training on employee ethics and a post-test after training on employee ethics. Employees take a pres-test2 before working in teams training and a post-test2 after the training. The sample dataset has pre-test and post-test scores. Human resources wish to determine if employees score higher on the post- test after their “employee ethics” training.

The sample dataset has over 400 lines of data; however, if there is not a pair (i.e., a value for a pretest and a value for a posttest, it will not be used.

This sample dataset is large, but I still want to demonstrate a histogram because we do something new in this example. We want a histogram of the difference (so posttest – pre-test). This is not hard to do in SPSS.
