Registration/Schedule
There are some different processes for registration for incoming campus undergraduate students, returning undergraduate students, transfer undergraduate students, and online undergraduate students. Generally, students will register for Fall courses in the March prior to the next academic year, and students will register for Spring courses in October of the current year. Summer course options can be discussed at both Fall and Spring registration.
Incoming Students
Incoming high school students have the opportunity to participate in registration for Fall in April, May, and June. At this time, the student will have the opportunity to meet with their Advisor, the Business Office, Financial Aid, and other campus departments.
Returning Students
Returning students will connect with their Advisor to discuss their next semester schedule and for the Advisor to release the advising hold. The Advisor can help the student register online through the student portal at the time of their appointment.
Transfer Students
The process for registration is mostly the same as returning students. They may not come to campus for a new transfer student day but may rather connect with their Advisor for registration and to discuss transfer credit that was evaluated and sent back to the student from the Registrar. Transfer students are required to attend a Transfer Student Orientation, which is the first Monday of the new semester.
Online Students
Online students are connected with their corresponding Advisor and a full academic year schedule is determined at that time.
Graduation
The Registrar relies on Advisors to communicate with their office when students are ready for graduation. A student’s graduation date is automatically populated in the SIS once they apply for admission; however, that date is not always accurate. It is important to regularly communicate with the Registrar about the accuracy of the graduation date. Students are also notified about their status, and it is a collaboration effort between the Registrar, Advisor, and student. There are five times in the year where a student can graduate:

May (date of commencement)
July 31 st
September 15 th
• December (last date of the semester)
There is one graduation ceremony in May.
The Advisor needs to run a final degree evaluation for the Register’s office prior to signing the Completion Statement. The Completion Statement also requires that the Advisor indicate if the student is double majoring or have taken a minor. The importance of running a final degree evaluation in timely manner is crucial. If a student still needs a course to graduation and has time to pick up a March or October start course or needs a summer class (anything that may change their graduation month), it is important to learn that early in order to find a solution that best suites the
