Marketing and Communications

Marketing and Communications house many logos for branding efforts. Please ask Marketing about which logos to use. Logos may be found on Woods Net. Their office helps faculty/staff and different student groups with communications that are appropriate for how they want to attract or notify students of information. Please run anything by Marketing before it is distributed. If we would like to publish a news article or FYI pieces, that goes through Marketing and then Marketing will communicate through Woods Net. SMWC advertises through broadcast, print, and online media. Marketing share stories of SMWC with local, regional, and statewide media. We promote stories that align with our brand, enhance the College’s reputation, and expand our reach and support recruitment. They also handle public relations, like notification of events, programs, achievements, and beyond. Onyx Anneau is the SMWC magazine. It includes stories from alumni, faculty, staff, and students. Please contact Kristy Fry for more information. We have social media pages to help connect and build relationship with those connected to The Woods and general population. At any time, you may be photographed or videographed while on campus or at an event. Those are used for social media and marketing purposes. If you would like to not be photographed, please remove yourself from the event or ask the photographer/videographer if you would like to not participate in the shots.
